Russian Language Proficiency Test- Do you speak Russian?Do you read and write it?If so, consider taking the Russian Proficiency test.If you pass the test you will receive 10 high school credits and up to three years equivalency for college entrance requirements.Students must sign up with Mr. Zekofsky in the Magnet Office by Friday, October 16th.(Mr. Zekofsky)

Seasonal Jobs for Teens -Retailers will begin their search for Christmas help in October and November.If you hope to get hired plan to job search NOW!During the economic environment of today, it will be more difficult for those under 18 years old.You must be at your best.When asking for an application be dressed and bring your portfolio.What do I mean by being dressed and having a portfolio?Go to the “Career” section at vannuyshs.org and there is lots of info in the pull-down menu.Stop by the Career Center, room 119B, before school, Nutrition, Lunch or with a pass from your teacher. ISIS- Because of the instability of ISIS the attendance office recommends that ALL teachers keep an updated set of class rosters in their rooms. (Mr. Scharf)
ISIS- Teachers now can make updates to student absences and tardies (up to 4 days back) through the attendance tab in the student profile page.(Mr. Scharf)
SENIORS
Honors Research Lab- There will be weekly meetings every Wednesday beginning Oct. 7 after school in Rm. 220 to discuss the progress of research papers and projects.These meetings are mandatory and will be part of your participation grade.Come next Wednesday 10/7 to receive more details!
