ACE Mentoring Program
Architecture, Construction, and Engineering Mentoring Program (ACE) is not available for the 2008-9 school year. Hopefully, ACE will have a mentor for our school next year. All forms below may be downloaded by clicking on the title. What Is ACE? ACE is a free, after-school program for high school students who are interested in learning about career opportunities in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction Management. The ACE Mentor Program, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization. What are the benefits to me? Career guidance: • Learn to work in a team. • Experience a workplace environment. • Enhances skills: problem solving, drawing, writing, and presentation. • Possible summer/part-time jobs: Firms are always looking for motivated interns. • Scholarships: Senior may apply for scholarships. What will I do? • Hands-on activities and projects • Field trips to industry offices and construction sights tours • Design a team project. • Attend a culminating dinner When do we meet? • Thursdays every 2 weeks • 3:30 pm to 6pm Do I need a high GPA? No. ACE wants motivated, committed students that behave in a mature fashion during the program. How do I get involved? You may sign up with Mrs. Giller in the Career Center.
